For 13 years, I worked with a fantastic team at Tinderbox Theatre Company Belfast. Northern Ireland’s premiere new writing company at the time. Between 2004 and 2015 it was led by Artistic Director Michael Duke, and then by Patrick J O’Reilly, two inspiring artists. My role evolved over the years: 

Director of New Work Development from 2016-2017
Acting General Manager 2015-2016
Dramaturg 2006 - 2016
Literary Manager 2004- 2006 

I worked closely with the Artistic Directors to programme, commission and develop the artistic programme, the strategic vision and to deliver it to a high dramaturgical and artistic standard.

In addition to providing development and production dramaturgy for our commissioned writers and our productions, I devised and ran a range of development programs for writers: 

• Fireworks Young Writers Program 

• Writers workshops, festivals and residencies. 

• Writers labs focussing on writers collaborating with other artforms.

• Supporting Tinderbox’s outreach and participation offering.
